The Wireless

From a young age, Marconi had developed an interest in wireless telegraphy. He was not the only one. A number of governments were keen to exploit its military value.

Marconi's first message was the morse code for the letter "s". Wireless telegraphy. On Christmas Eve 1906, Reginald A. Fessenden broadcast a programme of music from phonograph records, a violin solo, and a speech. The radio programme was born.
